Evan Butterfield is a native of Chicago, but has lived in Long Beach, California, for several years. He works for a large nonprofit technical association and pursues a more-than-passionate interest in photography in his rare spare time. Evan Butterfield is the Director of Products & Services at the IEEE Computer Society in Southern California, where he is responsible for the Society’s full portfolio of publications and conference programs. Evan also oversees the Society's professional education and certification course and product development, and manages the front office staff including procurement, facilities, and customer service. He is particularly passionate about intellectual property law and the development of new publishing media and business models in a rapidly changing publishing market.
